According to a source who spoke to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Russell Westbrook, the guard for the Denver Nuggets, is turning down his $3.4 million player option for the 2025–26 campaign, which would make him a free agent on June 30. In 27.9 minutes across 75 games this season, Westbrook, 36, averaged 13.3 points on 44.9% shooting, 6.1 assists, and 4.9 rebounds for the Nuggets. In his debut season with Denver, he started 36 games, which is the most the veteran has done since 2021–2022.
