The 2023 Georgia football season has come to a close as the Bulldogs now prepare for their bowl game matchup against Florida State. With the team’s playoff hopes now no longer in play, players have started to make announcements regarding their plans for the future. The most recent news is wide receiver Yazeed Haynes has announced his commitment to Syracuse after entering the transfer portal not too long ago.

Haynes had one reception for 20 yards this last season with the Bulldogs as a true freshman and appears to be looking for an opportunity elsewhere after just one year. It is also worth noting that former Georgia defensive back coach Fran Brown was a keynote recruiter during Haynes’ high school career who helped get him to Athens and is now the head coach at Syracuse, so it makes sense why the two will be reuniting again. Haynes is the second Georgia wide receiver to announce a transfer move to Syracuse as Jackson Meeks previously announced he would be doing the same.
