Detriot Lions are preparing for Packers report

The Detroit Lions have a short week when they host the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving. Jonah Jackson didn’t practice for the second straight day, so it’s unlikely he’ll dress Thursday. With only three days of preparation time, the Lions keep game planning simple. Time is of the essence, so this is not the week to add new elements. Instead, Campbell and his staff are returning to their roots and refining their core concepts in preparation for a Week 4 rematch at Lambeau Field.

Campbell credited his team’s ability to both learn and adapt while staying true to their identity. Because the lead-up time is so steep, the Lions have built many Sunday events since the start of the season.

And then, it’s just a mental problem, that’s how we phrase it this week, andquot; Campbell said. andquot;Here you are and you will stay, but it’s the same play we’ve been playing. I would say traditionally most teams do it and it’s a question of who does it better.andquot;
