NFC West Team Could Trade for Jonathan Taylor
The Arizona Cardinals have been a circled destination for current Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor for months now, as multiple outlets have suggested Taylor’s arrival to the desert would be beneficial for both sides.
That’s not likely to happen, nor did it ever seem like a real possibility.
However, another NFC West team in the Los Angeles Rams are reportedly showing interest in the All-Pro running back.
According to a report from Colts Reporter Destin Adams, the following teams have expressed interest in Taylor:
Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders
The Rams recently traded Cam Akers to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a late pick swap in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Los Angeles (1-2) is averaging 3.4 yards per carry as a team. Current RB1 Kyren Williams is averaging 3.6 yards per touch with three rushing touchdowns thus far. Even without Cooper Kupp – who is currently on injured reserve – the Rams still favor moving the ball through the air.
Perhaps the addition of Taylor will help turn the tide, though one source told Adams they want him to remain with the franchise:
