The Super Bowl is one of America’s most iconic sporting events and has been home to some of the greatest moments in football history. As the eight remaining teams prepare to do battle in this weekend’s divisional round, fans of the Georgia Bulldogs may be more inclined to cheer for one team in particular. The Baltimore Ravens are set to host the Houston Texans this Saturday as the one-seed in the AFC. The Ravens are led by former Bulldog standout, Roquan Smith who has already accumulated more than 150 tackles this season. In addition to Smith, former Bulldogs Ben Cleveland, and Nick Moore are on the roster as well. The Texans on the other hand currently have no former Bulldogs on the roster.

Not only will a Ravens win put Smith one step closer to his first Super Bowl ring. It will also guarantee that the Georgia Bulldogs will be represented in this year’s Super Bowl, as all remaining teams in the AFC have at least one former Bulldog on their roster. For 22 years in a row, at least one former Georgia player has been represented in the Super Bowl with the most recent appearances being the Eagles’ numerous former Bulldogs on their 2022 roster. With a Ravens victory on Saturday, the Bulldogs will be guaranteed a 23rd straight appearance in the big game.
