The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs.

The Ravens, the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs, are the favorites in the conference to get to the Super Bowl. They won the game 34-10.

On hand to see the win was none other than Baltimore Orioles’ legend Cal Ripken Jr., much to the delight of the Baltimore faithful.

The Ravens posted a video of Ripken getting applause from the fans as he was down on the field before the game. Ironically enough, Ripken Jr. wore No. 8, for his playing career, which is the same number that Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson wears currently.

One of the best players in baseball history, Ripken Jr. spent 21 years playing for the Orioles. He was gifted with both the glove and the bat, being named Rookie of the Year and MVP in his career (twice). He also helped Baltimore win the 1983 World Series and was an eight-time Silver Slugger winner. He won a Home Run Derby and was a two-time Gold Glove winner as well.

Nicknamed “The Iron Man,” Ripken Jr. also played in the most consecutive games in Major League history at 2,632.

As for the current Orioles, they should have a great chance to join the Ravens in the playoffs with a chance to win the championship. The best young team in baseball, Baltimore won 101 games last season and captured the American League East crown.

They were beaten by the Texas Rangers in the ALDS.
