Sad News:  Sherrone Moore rejected Michigan for replacement for Jim Harbaugh as head coach….

Michigan swimmer Wyatt Davis has been suspended three months for a positive test for a THC metabolite by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

Davis, 22, tested positive on June 30, 2023, at Phillips 66 Nationals. His results from that meet and any subsequent meets through the end of the year have been vacated. His suspension, announced Jan. 16 by USADA, is effective Jan. 2, 2024. It will still allow him to compete at U.S. Olympic Trials this summer.

Davis tested positive for a metabolite of THC, the primary psychoactive ingredient of cannabis and related products. Cannabinoids are prohibited in competition under the USADA and World Anti-Doping Agency protocols, as substances of abuse. Because they are not typically related to performance, USADA has advocated for WADA to draw back the severity of penalties to as low as one month for THC and other marijuana products.

Davis was handed a reduced sentence because the test was out of competition and cannabinoids are not classified as performance-enhancing. However, he violated the terms of his provisional suspension in the fall while the case was pending – by, USADA said, “participating in an activity authorized/organized by a Code signatory’s member organization” – which invalidated any time served from kicking in, hence the three months beginning in January.

Among the results vacated by Davis is a bronze medal from nationals in the men’s 50-meter backstroke, behind Justin Ress and Hunter Armstrong. He finished sixth in the men’s 100 back, 42nd in the 200 freestyle, 34th in the 100 butterfly and 18th in the 200 back.

At NCAAs last year, Davis finished 23rd in the 100 back and 34th in the 200 back as well as swimming on three Michigan relays in what was his junior year. He does not appear on the Wolverines’ roster this year in what should be his senior year. A native of Carmel, Indiana, Davis is Michigan’s 100 backstroke school record holder. He won a pair of Big Ten relay titles as a freshman in 2021.

Criminal Complaint Filed Against Michigan Man Over Death Threats Made on X, Including Against Biden, Harris

The U.S. Secret Service has filed a criminal complaint against a Michigan man who allegedly made death threats to hundreds of people, including President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, during a four-day spamming marathon on the X platform that ended Sunday.

The account user, who has 30 followers on his X account, also threatened to launch nuclear attacks on various targets.

After obtaining subscriber information from Elon Musk’s X, investigators traced the identity and location of the user of the Lancer227 account, a Prudenville resident who has been identified as Russel Douglas Warren, born in 1975.

A criminal complaint was filed in the Eastern District Court of Michigan for threats against the president and successors to the presidency.

The suspect has a prior felony conviction, dating from 2022, for assault with a dangerous weapon, the court filing shows.

The threats and ramblings began on Thursday and lasted through the weekend.

“A complete evacuation of Washington DNCN must begin immediately,” Mr. Warren allegedly wrote on Thursday, 4:20 p.m. “We’re gonna drop a m–– bomb on it.”

In many of the posts, the user acted like he was commanding the military, issuing orders for executions and bombings on hundreds of targets—including individuals, organizations, or physical locations.

“Operation Vengeance is NOW IN EFFECT,” the account said. “The Use of NUCLEAR WEAPONS has been authorized.”

“I always wanted to be a police man ever since I was a little boy,” one post said. “The closest I got to that was being a Police Reserve Officer. Now, I am the CHIEF Law Enforcement Officer of the World!”

Threats against the U.S. president were made on Friday.

“The President of the United States of America, Joesph Biden, has been CONDEMNED. Take him to the Prisons to await execution. He shall be hanged.”

An identical message was posted on Saturday, this time aimed at the vice president.

Other similar messages targeted lawmakers, officials, and celebrities by name; several were directed at “all agents” of the U.S. Secret Service, all Federal and Supreme Court Justices “past and present,” “all capitol police officers,” all members of House and Senate, on and on.

Threats to bomb the headquarters of the U.N., CIA, NSA, FBI, X Corporation, and others followed each other in rapid succession, as did orders ordering the nuclear destruction of Israel, London, Beijing, the Vatican, and other locations, including Disney theme parks and the Statue of Liberty.

Some were exempt from “Operation Vengeance,” such as the Berkley, Michigan, Police Department. “They protected me from David Wilcock, who tried to kill me using Witchcraft. The officers gave me lots of Love.”

“Adolf Hitler & Mummar Gaddafi, Best friends and having the Time of their Lives in HEAVEN.”

Cannabis Induced Psychosis?

Amidst the threats and statements came a request for marijuana.

“Can one of the people monitoring my posts please bring me some KIND bars and a marijuana vaporizer cartridge,” it read. “Thank you.”

However, a few posts later, Mr. Warren shared a very different sentiment when it came to cannabis distributors.

“All Marijuana shops shall be Burned to the ground. Marijuana Shop Owners shall be shall be executed.”

However, “Marijuana Shop Employees are free to go.”

The criminal complaint specifically highlighted another message allegedly posted by Mr. Warren on Thursday, in which he identified himself as “Russ” and claimed that former President Donald Trump was responsible for his death.

“My name is Russ. After having a stroke, I was hospitalized in a nursing home. Unable to make my own medical decisions, I was forced to get vaccinated multiple times. I understand that I am dying. I understand that Donald Trump killed me.”

The veracity of Mr. Warren’s claims about his medical status has yet to be confirmed.
