Good News For Georgia : 4-Star Are Excited To Play With Kirby Smart

Geneva (Ill.) wide receiver Talyn Taylor has had his eye on Georgia for a long, long time.

Before he was offered or visited or scheduled his official visits, Taylor let his mother know how he felt about one of the top programs in the country before he’d ever entered its radar. Two years, ago Taylor approached his mom with this update.

No. 5 Tennessee baseball hosts Georgia inside ofn Stadium this weekend as it looks to win its second consecutive conference series to conclude an eight-game homestand. Lindsey Nelso

The Vols enter the series having won four of their last five after taking two of three from Ole Miss last weekend to win their first series of SEC play. Georgia swept No. 8 Alabama last weekend in Athens after beginning conference play by getting swept by Kentucky in Lexington. The Bulldogs outscored the Crimson Tide 25-15 over the course of the three-game series.

Tennessee welcomes Georgia to town with a 19-1 record when playing at home this season. UT is 133-22 at home since the start of the 2020 season.

This weekend’s series features the nation’s top two home run hitting teams, as Georgia leads the country with 74 homers and Tennessee ranks second with 68, respectively.

Here’s everything you need to know to get you ready for this weekend’s series between Tennessee and Georgia, as well as five things to watch for.

Friday’s series opener will be streamed on SEC Network+ and the ESPN app at 6:30 p.m. ET with Will Boling (play-by-play) and former Vol Cody Hawn (analyst) calling the game. The final two games of the series will be televised on the SEC Network with Dave Neal (play-by-play) and Lance Cormier (analyst) on the call.

Fans can also listen to John Wilkerson call the action all series long on the Vol Network (FM 99.1/AM 990). Former Tennessee basketball player Steve Hamer will join Wilkerson on the call for Friday night’s series opener. A free audio stream will also be available on UTSports.com, the Tennessee Athletics App and the Varsity App.
