The Eels have signed a young forward from their Sydney rivals.

Javahn Stevenson-Hala has been signed by the Parramatta Eels from the Sydney Roosters for the 2024 season.

Stevenson-Hala has agreed to terms with the Eels on a two-year contract that will keep him at the club until at least the conclusion of the 2025 season.

Stevenson-Hala, who has played for the Sydney Roosters in competitions including as the SG Ball and the Harold Matthews Cup, is a talent to keep an eye on in the future.

He scored four tries in three games for the Sydney Roosters SG Ball side last season and a try in his sole game in the Harold Matthews Cup the year before.

It’s unclear what kind of deal he signed right now. However, it is possible that he will be handed a supplementary contract or a train-and-trial arrangement as part of the deal.

He was born in New Zealand and stands an astounding 190 cm tall and weighs 108 kilograms at the time this article was published.
