RGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers had a surprising name pop up on their Week 12 injury report as they began preparation for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Montravius Adams, a defensive tackle, made his limited comeback to practice today, his first time on the field since sustaining an ankle injury three weeks ago. Adams was described by Tomlin as “fighting” to return to the field, and given his minimal involvement, it’s possible that a comeback is imminent.
George Pickens, a wide receiver, was an unexpected addition to the injury report. Following Pickens’ absence from Tomlin’s weekly press conference, he missed practice because of a shin injury.
Unexpectedly, wide receiver George Pickens was added to the injury report. Pickens missed practice because of a shin injury after Tomlin failed to mention it in his weekly press conference.
James Pierre, the rookie cornerback, and rookie linebacker Nick Herbig of the Steelers both had limited practice time. Herbig has a hamstring injury that requires observation for the duration of the week. There will also be attention to Pierre’s shoulder injury.
Both being limited could indicate that the injury happened during practice or that they are resolving pre-existing problems.
The Steelers gave defensive tackle Cam Heyward, cornerback Patrick Peterson, and guard Isaac Seumalo a veterans’ day off, as is customary. Levi Wallace received a day off as well.
