Prediction, Preview, and Odds
#259 Pittsburgh Steelers vs.#260 Cincinnati Bengals

On Sunday, Paycor Stadium will host the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals in a football game. The game is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Cincinnati (5-5 SU, 4-4-1 ATS, 5-5 O/U) lost 34-20 to Baltimore last week, while Pittsburgh (6-4 SU, 6-4 ATS, 2-8 O/U) lost 13-10 to Cleveland.

The game total is 35.5 points, with the Steelers as 1.5-point spread favorites.

Steelers Injury Report: DB DB and Keanu Neal Riley Elijah is not in. DB LB Minkah Fitzpatrick, WR George Pickens, DT Montravius Adams DB Herbig and Nick Herbig James Pierre seems dubious.

Bengals: quarterback Joe Burrow has left. RB Daniel Harper, DE; Chase Brown, LB Tee Higgins, DB; Sam Hubbard, WR Taylor-Britt, Cam (DT) LB Akeem Davis-Gaither, DT B.J. Hill, and DJ Reader are dubious. OT Jonah

Last week, the Steelers lost a game that they could have won against Cleveland, and as a result, offensive coordinator Matt Canada was fired. Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett was unable to capitalize on the Steelers’ effective running attack (26 carries for 172 yards) as he only managed 106 passing yards (15-for-28), or 2.5 yards per completion. For the tenth week in a row, they were outgained.

Pittsburgh ranks 28th in terms of average total yards (280.1), including 110.1 rushing yards (16th) and 170.0 passing yards (31st) per game, with 16.6 points per game. It is 25th in terms of third down conversion rate (34.5%) and red zone drive completion percentage (47.3%).

The Steelers allow 367.6 total yards (27th) and 19.5 points (7th), with 239.9 passing yards (23rd) and 127.7 rushing yards (23rd) given up. This season, they have 11 interceptions and 28 sacks. In the fourth quarter, opponents of Pitt have scored touchdowns on 40.0% of their red zone trips and converted 39.1% of their third-down attempts (16th).

Cincinnati lost to rival Baltimore in a crucial division game and lost its starting quarterback to a season-ending injury last week. The Bengals averaged just 3.8 yards per passing completion, as they were outgained 405-272. Can Jake Browning lead Cincy to an unexpected victory in Joe Burrow’s absence?
The Bengals rank 21st in terms of scoring per game (20.2), and 24th in terms of average total yards (298.7), with 217.8 passing yards (19th) and 80.9 rushing yards (30th). They score touchdowns on 59.2 percent of their red zone trips (8th) and convert 35.6 percent of their third downs (22nd).

Including 247.8 passing yards (27th) and 138.3 rushing yards (31st), Cincinnati’s defense allows 22.6 points (20th) and 386.1 total yards (30th) per game. This season, they have 12 interceptions and 26 sacks combined. The Bengals’ opponents find the end zone on 53.8% of their trips to the red zone (17th) and convert 43.8 percent of their third-down attempts (28th).

The Bengals will look to Browning to guide them to victory against the formidable Steelers defense with Burrow out of the picture. The former University of Washington signal-caller led the Cardinals to a field goal and a garbage time touchdown last week, but his other four drives ended in failure. With 28 sacks of continuous pressure, Pittsburgh should thrive without Burrow, throwing Browning off rhythm.

I anticipate that after Canada’s dismissal, the Steelers’ offense will appear revitalized. The skills of Pittsburgh’s running back, Jaylen Warren, should be fully utilized by bettors (nine carries for 129 yards and a touchdown last game). Despite all the criticism, Pickett’s ground game is picking up steam, ranking sixth in the NFL in rush EPA.

With Burrow out, the Bengals will be counting on Browning to guide them past the formidable Steelers defense. Despite leading Cincy to a field goal and a garbage time touchdown before the half last week, the former University of Washington signal-caller’s other four drives ended in failure. In Burrow’s absence, Pittsburgh should thrive, applying relentless pressure (28 sacks) that will disrupt Browning’s rhythm.

After Canada’s dismissal, I anticipate that the Steelers’ offense will appear revitalized. With RB Jaylen Warren gaining 129 yards on nine carries and a touchdown in the previous game, bettors should anticipate Pittsburgh making the most of his talents. With a rush EPA ranking of sixth in the NFL, the ground game is picking up steam, and despite all the criticism, Pickett has at
