Week 13 Injury Report: Seahawks at Cowboys
Details on the Seahawks’ injury situation heading into their Week 13 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, including practice status designations.
The Seahawks hit the road for a prime-time matchup with the 8-3 Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at AT&T Stadium.
Wednesday Injury Report
The Seahawks held a walkthrough on Wednesday afternoon in preparation for their Thursday night matchup versus the Cowboys and released an estimated injury report which includes game status designations. Guard Phil Haynes is the only player that has been ruled out for Week 13 as he was held out of practice all week with a toe injury. Thursday will be the fourth game this year that Haynes will be inactive.
The team has two players listed as doubtful as second-year players Kenneth Walker III and Dareke Young are injured. Walker is suffering from an oblique injury that forced him to exit the Rams game and miss the following game against the 49ers.
Defensive end Leonard Williams, tight end Will Dissly and wide receiver Dee Eskridge are all listed as questionable for Thursday. Williams and Dissly are trending positively as both players were given full participation designations on Wednesday. Eskridge meanwhile would not have practiced had there been one on Wednesday afternoon so his status for Thursday is up in the air.
Right tackle Abraham Lucas was not given a game status designation for this week and has fully participated in the past two days which is a very positive sign that he could return this week. While he still needs to be activated from injured reserve, he has made great progress in attempting to see game action for the first time since Week 1.
The Dallas Cowboys were able to make it through the week in great shape as they don’t have any players with game status designations. Micah Parsons and Dante Fowler Jr were battling an illness this week, but were full participants on Wednesday and will be available on Thursday night.

Tuesday Injury Report
The Seahawks only had three players miss practice on Tuesday afternoon as Kenneth Walker III, Phil Haynes and Dee Eskridge were absent. Walker is still dealing with the oblique injury that forced him to exit the Week 11 loss to the Rams and kept him out of the Thanksgiving matchup versus the 49ers. “He’s going to go into this game in question, there will be some question there,” said head coach Pete Carroll. Starting guard Phil Haynes is dealing with a toe injury that has kept him out of the last two practices. Dee Eskridge was the third player to be held out of practice as he has a rib injury that limited him on Monday and prevented him from practicing on Tuesday.
Dareke Young, Leonard Williams and Will Dissly all returned to practice as limited participants after being held out on Monday. Williams has an ankle injury but is trending positively towards playing on Thursday. “He worked on this day so that’s a really good sign,” said coach Carroll when asked about the defensive lineman.
After being limited in Monday’s practice, Abraham Lucas and Anthony Bradford fully participated on Tuesday despite dealing with knee injuries. Lucas has been out since being injured in Week 1, but his recovery process has been going according to plan. “Abe (Lucas) had a good week,” said coach Carroll. “Everything is kind of on schedule as we’ve planned it quite some time ago, aiming for this week, and he did his part.” It is still to be determined whether Lucas can play this week, but his return is imminent.
A couple of key edge rushers for the Dallas Cowboys are dealing with illnesses as Dante Fowler Jr and Micah Parsons missed practice on Tuesday. Fowler Jr missed practice for the second consecutive day while Parsons only missed practice on Tuesday.

Monday Injury Report
The Seahawks had five players miss practice on Monday afternoon due to injuries, including four offensive players. Kenneth Walker III was unable to practice due to an oblique injury that forced him to exit the Week 11 loss to the Rams. He wasn’t able to make it back in time to play in the Thanksgiving night matchup with the 49ers, missing his first game of the season. It is still unclear if he will be able to return to action this Thursday, so rookie Zach Charbonnet could be the lead back for the second consecutive week if Walker doesn’t improve by Thursday. Guard Phil Haynes, wide receiver Dareke Young and tight end Will Dissly were the other three players on the offensive side of the ball to miss Monday’s practice. Also missing practice was defensive end Leonard Williams who is dealing with an ankle injury.
Tackle Abraham Lucas was limited in practice on Monday afternoon as the right tackle is trying to return to action this week after being out since getting injured in Week 1. Lucas was a full participant in practice this week and will get more work this week to see if he can be available on Thursday night. “Abe (Lucas) is practicing this week. He’s practicing this week and we’re going to see if he can play,” said head coach Pete Carroll on Sunday afternoon. “We’ll find out. He’s got to withstand the rigors of the week as always and we’ll determine that later on.”
Also being limited in Monday’s practice was wide receiver Dee Eskridge who is dealing with a ribs injury. Eskridge served as the team’s kick returner against the 49ers and had an electrifying 66-yard kick return in the first quarter.
Rookies Jake Bobo and Derick Hall were listed with shoulder injuries but were able to fully participate in practice today.
The Dallas Cowboys had four players miss practice including defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. who is dealing with an illness. All-Pro offensive linemen Zack Martin and Tyron Smith were among the players who didn’t practice but it was for resting purposes.
