Georgia Flips 5-star KJ Bolden from Florida State
It’s December 20th, otherwise known as Early National Signing day on this year’s version of the always hectic College Football calendar. The overwhelming majority of Georgia’s 2024 signing class will be solidified in hard writing today. But the biggest decision of the day just got announced and it was a massive one for the Bulldogs.
Five-star safety prospect KJ Bolden has announced that he is flipping his commitment from Florida State to the Georgia Bulldogs. Bolden has been committed to the Seminoles since August of this year, but when it came down to the end of it, Auburn and Georgia were able to hang around and keep themselves in the mix and Georgia prevailed in the end.
The Georgia native is rated as the number-one safety in the country, the second-best player in the state of Georgia and the 14th-best player in the country, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
Bolden played with former Georgia commit Dyaln Raiola this last season at Buford High School. The two were never committed to go to the same school and now Bolden pledges to the Bulldogs just a few days after the five-star quarterback decommitted from the Bulldogs to go to Nebraska.
The addition of Bolden bolsters Georgia’s class to an even higher ranking than they were already at with the top class in the nation. Bolden is everything he is advertised to be as a prospect and will join a defensive back room that is loaded down with talent, and he will be a major contributor to that. Perhaps the biggest win of early national signing day amongst all college programs.
