Robert Saleh Does Not Regret Passing The Chance To Sign Joe Flacco Before He Joined The Browns
The New York Jets lost Aaron Rodgers after a torn Achilles in the season opener and in Week 17, they are 6-9 and have already been eliminated from the playoff.
QB Joe Flacco was added to the Cleveland Browns in the middle of November, the Jets had the chance to bring Flacco back following the injury to Rodgers.
This week, the Jets head coach Robert Saleh told reporters that there are no regrets about not reaching out to Flacco earlier in the year before he joined the Browns, per ESPN.
Saleh said,
“Every decision we make comes with deep thought and logic. There’s no regret there.”
As reported, Flacco was unsigned and available to the Jets when Rodgers was injured, but the team never called him.
Jets coach Saleh said there’s “never regret”, Flacco did a good job for the Jets last year, but they had the QB they wanted with Rodgers, Zach Wilson, and Tim Boyle.
He said,
“We love Joe, first and foremost. We spent a couple of years with him, love him, love the way he prepares, really pumped for him and the success he’s having. It’s just the decision we made in terms of the quarterback room and the way we developed it over the course of OTAs and training camp. It was just a decision we made.”
These comments on Tuesday came in the light of Flacco, starting for the Browns in the last four games and led them to a 3-1 record with 1,307 passing yards and 10 touchdowns.

“We Literally Played Santa And Gave Them A Present” – Travis Kelce Frustrated At The Current State Of The Chiefs, Calls For More Accountability From Players
Travis Kelce summed up Kansas City’s disappointing 20-14 loss to the Raiders on Christmas Day in a straightforward manner during the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast.
“We handed that team a win on Christmas, We literally played Santa and gave them a present.” : Kelce expressed on Wednesday, as reported by ESPN.com.
Kelce’s frustration is palpable as he discusses the Chiefs’ recent struggles, where a lack of offensive rhythm has been a defining factor in their performances. This recurring theme has haunted the defending Super Bowl champions throughout the 2023 season, preventing them from maintaining the offensive consistency that was once their trademark. With just two games remaining in the regular season and their division lead suddenly at risk, the Chiefs understand the urgency to rectify their issues
“It’s a frustrating experience right now, Every single day, we’re going in here and fixing it. I promise you guys. : Kelce admitted.
“It’s not just one guy, It’s not just me playing poorly. It’s not just us struggling to establish the run game. It’s not just us lacking synchronization in the passing game. Everybody’s in this together. At some point, everybody isn’t being accountable.” : he emphasized.
The frustration has been evident on Patrick Mahomes’ face for weeks, if not months. It has now permeated the entire team, reaching a new level on Monday when Kelce returned to the sideline and expressed his frustration by slamming his helmet on the ground, prompting head coach Andy Reid to intervene.
