The Cleveland Browns, who secured a postseason berth for just the second time since 2002, defeated the New York Jets in their tenth game of the season on Thursday night.

The Jets have had a difficult season; they have started four different quarterbacks this year and lost Aaron Rodgers after just four snaps.

On Thursday, the Jets committed 12 penalties for 74 yards, a trend that has resulted in New York being the most penalized team in the NFL.

Head coach Robert Saleh was informed by a reporter during the game that he didn’t look “angry or upset” following yet another defeat.

“Do you want me to throw the podium on the floor?” Just before the press conference adjourned, Saleh asked the reporter.

After Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1, the Jets have found it difficult to score points, while the Browns have found their savior after Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending injury.

Joe Flacco, who signed with the Browns last month, is now 4-1 as Cleveland’s starting quarterback.

Thursday’s game saw Flacco throw for 309 yards, including three touchdown passes, an interception, and 294 yards in the first half.

“You don’t know how many of these moments you’re going to get,” Flacco stated. “I’m going to remember this for the rest of my life.”

The final three years of Flacco’s career were played with the Jets, where he started and had a 1-8 record.

Flacco has completed at least 300 yards passing in four of his five appearances since taking over in Cleveland.

“Everybody always joked, even in Baltimore, was he elite?” Regarding Flacco, Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley stated, via ESPN. “He is demonstrating it. Few men, particularly veterans of his caliber and age, just go from home, spend time with their children, and accomplish what he has. “It’s crazy to hear the Browns fans screaming, ‘Flacco!'” I told him after the game. I thought that was really crazy, but I’m glad for him. Though obviously we wanted to win, I’m still pleased for him as a friend and fan.”

The Browns have one more chance to win the AFC title.
