Report: Former New York Yankees Star Does Something Not Done in…..
Former New York Yankees star Miguel Andujar has turned in a massive performance this week in the Dominican Winter League, accomplishing something that hasn’t happened in nearly 20 years.

Miguel Andújar is the first player since at least 2006 with back-to-back multi-HR games in LIDOM (reg or post)
Andujar, who is currently a free agent with regards to the Majors, is doing his best to show that he deserves another chance in pro ball ahead of spring training, which begins in about six weeks.
He spent 2023 in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization but was placed on waivers in November. He’s still just 28 years old.
He hit .250 with four home runs in 84 at-bats this season at the major league level. He hit .338 at Triple-A for the Pirates this year.
He made his debut in 2017 with the Yankees but figured prominently on the 2018 version of the team, playing in 149 games and hitting 27 home runs with 92 RBI. He also hit 47 doubles that year and hit .297. Andujar finished second in the AL Rookie of the Year voting that year.
With Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Luis Severino and Greg Bird, Andujar was part of the ‘Baby Bombers’ and was expected to be a major part of the team’s future.
Unfortunately, injuries have become a huge part of the story for Andujar. He missed most of the 2019 season with a shoulder injury, was in the minors for most of the COVID 2020 season and ended up injured most of the 2021 season (wrist) as well.

The networks for the New York Yankees and New York Knicks are forming a surprise alliance on a unique business venture, and some around the media world believe their grand plan could be for a streaming service with a bunch of New York City area sports teams.
On Thursday, the YES Network and MSG Networks completed a deal on a collaboration that is being called Gotham Advanced Media and Entertainment, or GAME. The goal of the venture is to create a new revenue stream for the two networks and the franchises they showcase by offering digital content distribution services to third parties.
The New York Yankees own the largest share of YES Network, while New York Knicks and New York Rangers boss James Dolan also owns MSG Network. While it would seem logical to work together, the Knicks and Yankees have feuded in the past as many of the franchises in the city have battled for the hearts and minds of NYC sports fans.
When YES was originally formed, several lawsuits were created as the fledgling network faced resistance from local cable service Cablevision, which was then owned by Dolan.

However, with the landscape of television changing as new apps are introduced all the time, and consumers are cutting cords at record levels, unique alliances are being formed all over the TV spectrum. However, this alliance might have far bigger goals, as New York Post media insider Andrew Marchand explained after the deal.
“The significance of the YES, MSG deal is what it could mean in the future. There is a thought between the executives of MSG and YES that they could offer one service locally where people could get all their games, including the Yankees, Rangers, Knicks, Nets, and all the hockey that MSG has, in one place,” Marchand said.
“For sports fans, that in theory could be a win because right now if you want to cut the cord and have the Yankees on YES direct to consumer, and Knicks direct to consumer, it’s cumbersome. But if it was in one place it would be easier.”
