There’s good news when it comes to Saturday’s Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs playoff game.

If you want to see the game in person, tickets are reportedly going for as low as $68, and they could get even cheaper before kick.

There’s bad news, too.

Those tickets are going so cheap, and getting cheaper by the minute, because if the weather forecasts hold up it could be one of the coldest games in NFL history.

How cold?

Well, according to reports, game time temperature Saturday should be around 5 degrees with a wind chill of minus-11.

That’s not “Ice Bowl” cold — the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers played in that famous game back in 1967 with a reported temperature of minus-13 at kick — but it’s pretty, dang cold. And that temperature projection is one that has already dipped through the week as gametime nears.

Per CBS Sports, if the projected temperature holds up as is it will be the coldest game the Dolphins have ever played in. And, the site reported, that would be bad news for Miami fans because the Dolphins have lost 10 straight games when the temperature is 40 or below.

CBS said that if the temperature only gets to 5 degrees it will be the coldest game played in the NFL since the 2016 season. And it said there’s an “outside chance” that with a “drastic forecast change” before kick it could challenge for one of the coldest games in league history.

So, break out the billfold — this is about as affordable as you will ever see an NFL playoff game – and get out there. Of course, you’ll probably have to spend several hundred dollars in thermal clothing and general survival gear to make it through so it probably evens out in the end.

And watching in the living room probably doesn’t come with the threat of frostbite.

From the Ice Bowl to the Freezer Bowl, the coldest NFL games – Twin Cities

Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours.

The Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs will face off tomorrow at Arrowhead Stadium for their wild card game. Temperatures for this game are expected to be below zero, so good luck if you are planning on attending in this tundra weather. The Dolphins enter this matchup so banged up on defense that they will be without their top three pass rushers, Xavien Howard, Jerome Baker, and potentially both of their starting safeties. Offensively they may be as full strength as they ever get as Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Waddle could be back in the lineup. The odds are stacked against the Dolphins as they haven’t proven that they can beat a playoff caliber team on the road this season.
