Just Now: The Match with Detroit Lions vs. Los Angeles Rams Has Finally postponed

Detroit Lions star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson comments on the controversial call against Dallas last Saturday on the two-point conversion, calling it “stupid,” but saying it could work in his team’s favor heading into the playoffs.

“This is one of those things where it’s like, it was a stupid call,” he said Wednesday during an appearance on the podcast, “The St. Brown Brothers,” starring his teammate Amon-Ra St. Brown and Brown’s brother Equanimeous St. Brown of the Chicago Bears.

“It is what it is, but like I think this is only going to motivate us, and especially you know as we move into the playoffs,” Hutchinson said. “And you you know, if we advance and we play Dallas again at their place, I just feel like…there’s so much confidence knowing that you know we should have won that game.”

Amon-Ra St. Brown noted: “We had plenty of opportunities to seal the game before that. It is what it is. I’ve got nothing to say.”

Hutchinson was also asked what he thought about Coach Dan Campbell going for the two-point conversion three times instead of kicking an extra point and tying the game.

“I’m going to decline to comment on this,” he said. “You know…I’m not gonna stir up anything but you know I have all the faith in Coach Campbell. You know, he’s an aggressive play caller, aggressive decision maker, and I feel like that shows that he has a lot of trust in our guys and what we’ve got and what we can do… I’m going to leave that at that.”
