Shocking News: the QB Sent a massage to the fans for his coming back full….

The Cleveland Browns got destroyed by the Houston Texans yesterday as the worst fears of Browns fans came to life. How you cope with it is up to you, but the NFL calendar never stops  it just resets.

Magical Run for Cleveland Browns, Joe Flacco Comes to an Abrupt End in 45-14 Blowout Loss in Playoff Opener

Good morning, Cleveland Browns fans!

I admit I didn’t want to get up and do the Newswire this morning. The alarm rang at 5:30am, and I reset it to 6:30am. It rang at 6:30am and I stared at the ceiling for ten minutes, evaluating the advantages of the warm blankets vs. the disadvantages of the cold, snowy world outside before deciding that it had to be done.

I’m not sure what I expected to confront me when I finally opened my browser and started plowing through feeds, but my general sense is that the local media was just about as shell-shocked as the rest of us. There are game recaps, and sad stories of player interviews after the game, like those of Myles Garrett lamenting the loss and Joe Flacco saying goodbye, but no magic-bullet answers for what happened on Saturday afternoon.

The “Gee, we should be proud of what the Browns accomplished” retrospectives are still probably a day or two in the future, but the OBR team will begin focusing almost immediately on what will happen during the 2024 post-season as free agency and the draft will be upon us before we know it. We’ll look back on the 2023 season, but more with an eye to evaluating what the roster should look like next year.

But first, I suspect that my fellow OBR folks and our fanbase must overcome this sense of letdown, exhaustion and disappointment they undoubtedly feel this morning. We’ll get back to work, but I expect that it will take a few days for the enthusiasm to start building again.
