Just In: after rams lose against Lions” rams legend sent massage to the…
Dan Miller’s best Detroit Lions radio calls from the team’s monumental playoff win over the Los Angeles Rams.
You’ve likely been waiting for this since the game clock struck 0:00 on Sunday night just after 11 p.m. ET.
Detroit Lions play-by-play radio announcer Dan Miller has been a gift to fans for decades now. And with the Lions now finally turning the corner, Miller’s passionate and emotional radio calls are on display for all, thanks to the Lions social media team.
On Monday night, the Lions dropped a five minute video of MIller’s best calls from the team’s historic playoff victory over the Los Angeles Rams. While there are a few highlights sprinkled in throughout, more than half of the video is devoted to the final moments of the game. Not only do we get to hear Miller’s explosive call of Jared Goff’s game-clinching pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown, but we stick with Miller for the next 150 seconds or so, as the play-by-play announcer sets the stage, congratulates the fans, and crowns Goff’s phenomenal night.
Here’s a snippet of that final clip:
“Here we go. Goff works out of the gun, second down and nine. Two minutes to go. There’s Goff, back, looking, looking, throws… it is caught! Amon-Ra St. Brown! FIRST DOWN! THAT’S GOING TO DO IT! THAT’S GOING TO DO IT! THAT’S GOING TO DO IT! JARED GOFF DELIVERS AGAINST HIS FORMER TEAM! NOW ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS TAKE A KNEE THREE TIMES AND THIS GAME WILL BE OVER!”
The video then walks us through those final three snaps of the game, as Miller’s voice cracks a couple times under the emotional weight of the moment.
“DETROIT, STAND UP! YOU’VE WAITED FOR THIS! ONE PRIDE NATION, STAND UP! YOU’VE WAITED FOR THIS!”
BREAKING: The Los Angeles Rams Fear that One of their Offensive Weapons Suffered a Torn ACL.

Matthew Stafford threw an incomplete pass intended for Tyler Higbee (on his only target) in the fourth quarter. Safety Kerby Joseph buried his body into Higbee’s right knee, causing it to bend awkwardly.
