NBA Rumors: Warriors Won’t Trade Young Star

Warriors Trade Seemed Inevitable

Kuminga’s time with the Warriors has had its share of highs and lows. The Kuminga period in San Francisco appeared to be coming to an end only a few weeks ago.

The Denver Nuggets were the guests of the Warriors on January 4. In just 19 minutes of action during that game, Kuminga finished with 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. In spite of this, head coach Steve Kerr decided not to use Kuminga in the last eighteen minutes. That was how the Warriors let up an eighteen-point lead with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter. To win the game, Nikola Jokić made an unlikely shot at the buzzer.

The Athletic said after the game that Kuminga was not happy. “Sources close to Jonathan Kuminga tell The Athletic that he has lost faith in coach Steve Kerr after sitting out the last eighteen minutes of the Golden State Warriors’ Thursday night loss to the Denver Nuggets. The 2021 lottery pick no longer thinks Kerr will allow him to reach his full potential.”

Kuminga Comeback
Kuminga has played an average of 28.8 minutes per game since the Denver loss. The 21-year-old is averaging 25.6 points and 6.2 rebounds on an absurd 68.7% shooting percentage from the field in his previous five games.Kuminga, who is just in his third season, has already established himself as a major player in the present and a rising star in the future.

In a recent interview with Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, Kuminga said he is not concerned about trade speculations.

“In the end, I don’t really care about the trade things since, ultimately, whatever transpires is undoubtedly God’s plan. I maintain my concentration and don’t really make an effort to hear the sounds outside or the trade. I inform my agent that you don’t have to let me know if something comes up. I just want to concentrate, so please don’t tell me if my name appears in any trades.I’m still a member of the team, and my only priorities are staying on it and supporting our daily victories and improvements.Warriors Trade Schedules
However, the Warriors are now ranked 12th in the Western Conference.

Recently, Kuminga said in an interview with Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report that he is not concerned about trade speculations.

“In the end, whatever transpires is undoubtedly God’s plan, so I don’t really pay attention to the trade stuff.” I don’t really try to listen to the sounds outside or the trade; instead, I maintain my concentrate. You don’t have to let me know if something comes up, I tell my agency. Please don’t inform me if my name is involved in any transactions; I just want to concentrate.I continue to be a member of the squad, and my only priorities are supporting the group, winning, and improving daily.Warriors’ Trade Schemes
In the Western Conference, the Warriors are currently ranked 12th.

For the Warriors, it’s been anything but a fun season. Their dismal record through 42 games can be attributed to a number of things, including the untimely death of assistant coach Dejan Milojević, Draymond Green’s suspension, and Chris Paul’s injuries. Jonathan Kuminga is here to stay, if there’s one thing Golden State has learned.
