ESPN: A United Airlines Super Bowl commercial exhorts Cleveland Browns supporters to have faith in the following season.

United Airlines Super Bowl ad urges Cleveland Browns fans to believe in next year.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – America’s favorite football coach – no, not Bill Belichick – believes in the Browns so much that he’s urging fans to go ahead and book their flights to next year’s Super Bowl.

Cleveland Browns Must Regroup And Rebound From Ugly Loss To New York Jets

United Airlines on Tuesday released an ad that will run in the Cleveland market on Sunday featuring actor Kyle Chandler, best known for his role as high school football coach Eric Taylor in “Friday Night Lights.”

In it, Chandler speaks directly to Browns fans, saying: “Cleveland, I know you’re watching other people’s teams play today. But this season, you got everyone’s attention. The grit. The wins. The defense. Next season, you get the title. Finally.”

He then encourages us to believe so much that we book our flights to next year’s Super Bowl in New Orleans “before the season even starts.”

The ad touts United’s lack of change fees – just in case the season doesn’t turn out as hoped.

Dubbed “Believing Changes Everything,” the Cleveland ad is one of five created by United for local markets that will run during the Super Bowl, which airs at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on CBS.

Different versions of the ad will run in Cleveland, Houston, Kansas City, Chicago and Denver.

Who Is the Cleveland Browns Head Coach?

“Everyone tuning into the game isn’t feeling the same way, in fact, the majority of fans are watching someone else’s team play,” said Maggie Schmerin, United’s chief advertising officer. “This presented a unique creative opportunity to make an ad that speaks directly to the cities and fanbases who are already looking ahead to next season. By producing market-specific commercials, we can avoid the sport cliches that are all-too-common this time of year and demonstrate that United is standing with fans of the local team who are already excited about next season.”

Cleveland Browns’ Ken Dorsey Has Surprising Take on Deshaun Watson

The Cleveland Browns are hoping to salvage their Deshaun Watson situation by bringing over Ken Dorsey from the Buffalo Bills.

While injuries have stopped Watson from performing to the level that warranted him a huge payday, there is still belief within the Browns organization that their move to trade for the controversial QB is worth it.

Their newest offensive mastermind seems on board with leading a QB like Waston, even going so far as to call him a top-tier QB.

Ken Dorsey: Cleveland Browns’ Deshaun Watson is a ‘top’ quarterback

During his introductory press conference, Dorsey talked about the Cleveland Browns offense and what he plans to do with the team. He was especially ecstatic about the opportunity to lead a QB like Watson, calling him a top QB who can change a game’s complexion.

Here was what Dorsey thought of the QB, as reported by Pro Football Talk’s Myles Simmons:

“I’m extremely excited to work with this offense, especially Deshaun and him being one of the top quarterbacks in this league, the opportunity to really go out there this season and help him prove that he really is that — a top quarterback in this league that can operate and help us win a bunch of football games,” Dorsey said. “So, I’m super excited about that opportunity and really looking forward to this challenge.”

Deshaun Watson was admittedly an effective quarterback for the Browns whenever he’s healthy enough to play. Through the six games he played for the Dawg Pound this season, the Clemson product threw for 1115 passing yards, 7 TDs, and 4 interceptions. A brought shoulder injury during Week 10 saw him sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Watson’s health is quickly becoming a major red flag for the Browns organization as they haven’t been able to maximize his talents for two straight seasons. While Kevin Stefanski pulled off a minor miracle with Joe Flacco under center, he still needs his franchise QB to be available when needed. Watson has been anything but ready when it came to his bill of health.

The 2024 season will determine whether the Cleveland Browns were right in trading away what turned to be CJ Stroud for Watson. They’ll be hoping that Dorsey has what it takes to revitalize his career.
