Remarkable TE Prospect Indicates He Wants To Be A Titans Player

No-brainer' Top 10 pick Brock Bowers would be especially dangerous with Super Bowl participant

The Tennessee Titans had a frustrating 2023 season that saw them go 6-11 and miss the playoffs, but they have a new head coach in Brian Callahan and at least a kernel of hope that they can do better this fall.

The one byproduct of their miserable season is the fact that they will have the No. 7 overall pick in the NFL Draft, and while they likely won’t get to draft one of the top quarterback prospects, they should be able to draft an elite player at another position.

One man who could be available is University of Georgia tight end Brock Bowers, and he said if it were up to him, he would want Tennessee to draft him, per @JakeAndBall on Twitter.

Bowers is originally from Napa, California, which is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but he decided to head to the South to play his college ball.

At Georgia, he helped the Bulldogs win back-to-back College Football Playoff National Championships in his first two seasons while earning All-American honors, as well as the John Mackey Award for being the NCAA’s top tight end.

In three seasons, he put up a total of 2,538 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns, and he even added five touchdowns on the ground.

The big question surrounding the Titans is the upcoming free agency of star running back Derrick Henry — while he continues to play strong football, his production has fallen off since his magical 2020 campaign in which he ran for 2,027 yards.

If Henry leaves, perhaps Bowers could at least somewhat help replace the firepower he would be taking with him to his new team.

Brock Bowers: Going to the Titans would be cool

Tight end Brock Bowers won’t get a chance to decide where he starts his NFL career, but there’s one spot he wouldn’t mind winding up to kick things off.

Bowers was a guest on PFT Live from Radio Row in Las Vegas on Tuesday and the topic of where he’d like to be drafted came up during the interview. Bowers is from Napa, California, but his choice wasn’t the 49ers or the Raiders. After saying “whoever wants to take me,” Bowers named one club that is on his mind.

“I’d be alright going to the Tennessee Titans. I liked it down in the Georgia, Tennessee area. That was cool, that would be a cool spot to be,” Bowers said.

Bowers is expected to be one of the top picks in this year’s draft and the Titans are set to pick seventh, so it might not be out of the question for the stars to align in a way that Bowers winds up in Nashville.
