Sad News: Volunteers Star This Is A Bad Day For Me Brody Smith Lose One Of His Family

Brody Smith, a 2026 offensive tackle from Knoxville, Tennessee, gave us an overview of his meeting with the Tennessee Volunteers.

Tennessee welcomed a number of gifted young people to campus for their junior day event this past weekend.Among the attendees was Brady Smith, an offensive tackle from Bearden High School. He includes offers from Tennessee, Penn State, Ole Miss, Colorado, Miami, and more. After his visit, the local product had a conversation with Volunteer Country to summarize his experience.

It was a great success. The Bearden lineman said, “It’s definitely one of the better schools I’ve seen. Tennessee’s junior day event took place on campus this past weekend, drawing a large number of quality prospects.One of the names in attendance was offensive tackle Brady Smith of Bearden High School. He enumerates offers from Florida, Penn State, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Colorado, and more. After his visit, the local product gave Volunteer Country a brief update on his visit.

It went quite nicely. “It’s definitely one of the better schools I’ve seen, and I really liked the facilities and the hospitality,” the Bearden lineman said. Among the players he was looking forward to seeing at the university was a current commit. “The running back that committed there, Justin Baker, and I spoke;

Smith spent much of his time as an offensive lineman with offensive line coach Glen Elarbee. “I spent the most time with Coach Elarbee, and everything went smoothly. After testing me on some line play, we had some time to chat. He convinced me that UT is a family, they have a great program, and they bring athletes into the league.”

Smith left Tennessee’s program impressed with its management. Smith noticed that head coach Josh Heupel has made an effort to create a family-friendly atmosphere. “It truly is a family there like no other, and it’s really fun to be around.” He affirms to Volunteer Country that Tennessee is doing well and that he hopes to return.

The majority of Smith’s tenure as an offensive lineman was spent with offensive line coach Glen Elarbee. It went really well because I spent the most of my time with Coach Elarbee. We had a lengthy conversation after he tested me on some line play. “They get players into the league, have a top program, and it’s a family at UT,” was his pitch to me.

Smith left Tennessee’s program administration impressed.
