Fun fact: All told, the franchise has played in eight Super Bowls. Only the New England Patriots have played in more (11). The Broncos are tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers.

Denver is 3-5 in those Super Bowls.

Fun Fact: Those three wins are equal to or more than 16 teams’ appearances in the Super Bowl, to put that in perspective.

Fun fact: In terms of Super Bowl MVP, the last running back to win the award was Terrell Davis in Super Bowl XXXII.

Fun fact: Davis also holds the Super Bowl record for rushing touchdowns with three in Super Bowl XXXII.

But it’s not all glorious when it comes to the Broncos and Super Bowls.

Regarding numbers, scorigamis are becoming incredibly popular. A scoriami is a score in an NFL game that has never happened before. In the Super Bowl, a scorigami has happened three times.

Not so fun fact: All three Super Bowl scorigamis involved the Broncos.

The 43-8 loss in Super Bowl XLVIII to the Seattle Seahawks, the 55-10 loss in Super Bowl XXIV to the 49ers, and the 39-20 loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXI.

In the history of the Super Bowl there have also been nine safeties scored.

Not so fun fact: Two came in Super Bowls Denver played in.

Super Bowl XLVIII and Super Bowl XXI.

The fact Denver has played in eight Super Bowls is pretty incredible. The fun and not-so-fun numbers back that up.

Hopefully the Broncos can get back on track and compete for more Super Bowls in the near future.

‘We have to see wins’: Fans not pleased with Broncos season ticket increase

The Denver Broncos announced season ticket prices will be increasing for the 2024-2025 season.

DENVER — The Denver Broncos have announced season ticket prices will be increasing for the 2024-2025 season.

That announcement was sent in an email to season ticket holders Thursday night, detailing an 8% increase across the stadium.

“It was the first time I can remember getting that invoice and thinking, ‘Ugh, do I really want to do this?’” season ticket holder Jason Ault said. “It was the first time that I at least cringed a little bit.”

Ault says his tickets are going from $1,400 a pair up to $1,640 a pair, an increase he wasn’t expecting after prices already increased last year.

“At some point, we’ve got to see some wins,” Ault said. “And there’s a long waiting list and the Broncos can say, ‘Well you know what, we have 100,000 people who will take your seats,’ and there’s probably some truth to that. But at some point, they’ve got to start winning.”

Dr. Kelly Evans, an assistant professor of Sports Management at MSU Denver, says the Broncos have little to lose with the decision.

She says ticket prices pay for player salaries, stadium improvements, and more.

“It really does come back to supply and demand,” Evans said. “There is a huge wait list for Broncos season ticket holders, and if there’s demand, they have every right to charge those prices, and if they will pay them that’s their prerogative.”

Ault says he’ll stomach the increase this year, but hopes the investment can translate to a better product on the field.

“The Broncos will be good at some point in the future, and I know if I give up my tickets, I’ll never get them back, and that’s partly why I keep them,” Ault said.
