News Now: Sad News” Eagles Coach Has Been Block On The Trade Line Battle Against….

Here Is How The Philadelphia Eagles Could Trade Pro Bowl Linebacker, Haason Reddick After He Was Granted Permission To This Free Agency.

The Philadelphia Eagles could trade Pro Bowl linebacker, Haason Reddick this upcoming free agency next month. According to a report, Philadelphia has granted Reddick permission to seek a trade. He spent two seasons with the Eagles after playing his first four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. During his time with the Eagles, he racked up 27 sacks and earned two Pro Bowls.

Reddick continued to succeed by recording 11 sacks with 23 quarterback hits and 13 tackles for loss. In his first season with Philadelphia, he tied with Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett for the second-most sacks in the NFL. He was integral to the Eagles’ Super Bowl run in 2022, but the star pass-rusher could be finding his exit. Reddick always has love for Philadelphia, his hometown where he grew up.

Now Reddick is hoping to land with a new team on a new deal where he could represent his Philly roots. He does have one season left on his contract with the Eagles, so there might be the possibility of him staying one more year. Reddick signed the contract in 2022 coming off a second straight double-digit sack season with Philadelphia. He may be looking for big-time money as he would want a pay raise from his $15 million per year average.

However, the Eagles are still in control of his contract for the whole free agency. Even though they allowed Reddick to seek a trade, doesn’t mean it would happen. They’re only interested in moving Reddick if it’s beneficial for Philadelphia.

Where He Could Potentially Land

There are plenty of front offices that will jump and call Philadelphia to make an offer. The expectation is that as long they don’t receive calls from NFC East opponents, then it wouldn’t be an issue. However, the potential suitors for Reddick are the Lions, Texans and Colts. Detroit would strongly benefit as they’re in a “win now” mode.

His pairing with the existing starter on the defensive line, Aidan Hutchinson would be a scary sight for many offenses. The Lions could truly make a huge splash on their defense if they make this signing happen. However, Reddick would fit into the puzzle with Defensive Rookie of the Year, Will Anderson Jr. for the Texans. Houston is lacking a counterpart for Anderson and getting Reddick to be that would make sense.

Coach of the Year runner-up, DeMeco Ryans understands the value of a deep defensive player, so the move would make things spicy. Reddick would also make sense for the Colts where they play more of a traditional 4-3 base defense. However, he worked as a built-up edge rusher and he has a close connection with ex-Eagles offensive coordinator, Shane Steichen. The Colts have the space for it and they’re in dire need of a long-term edge rusher.
