Breaking New: Eagles Top Star To Exist After Crisis With Coach…

Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles want to know more about the future of Jason Kelce, the six-time All-Pro center who’s been a fixture in the trenches for the past 13 seasons.

Kelce’s season ended over a month ago when the Eagles suffered a tough 32-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wild Card round on January 15th. But as we know, he’s been busy celebrating his brother Travis Kelce’s third Super Bowl win too.

But what about Jason’s future? He’s under contract for the 2024 season, but Kelce is also 36 years old. Will he keep playing? One of his fellow offensive linemen recently weighed in on the hot topic.

Jason Kelce has not made a statement on whether he’s returning or retiring for the 2024 season. Yet, as mentioned, nor does he have to, since the seven-time Pro Bowl center is still under contract for another year.

But that doesn’t mean Kelce won’t face plenty of questions about his future, even if he continues to play at an elite level. Not only will the NFL’s most popular center face questions, so will his teammates.

Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata touched on Kelce’s future in Philadelphia during Super Bowl week, where he cast doubt on a return in 2024.“There’s no shot. You’re telling me he’s going shirts off in the games, gambling in the casinos, he’s coming back? No way. He’s having too much fun. He’s out there living his life. And I’m going to miss him for sure, man. This has been the greatest six years of my life for sure, being here in the NFL and getting to meet people like Jason Kelce.”

Mailata has started four seasons with Kelce on the Eagles’ offensive line, and they’ve even collaborated on a Christmas album off the field, so they’ve developed quite the bond.

Dallas Cowboys defensive star Micah Parsons grew up in Pennsylvania, so he would have probably been a hometown favorite had the Philadelphia Eagles taken him back in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, unknown to many, Parsons didn’t want to play for the franchise.

In fact, according to Parsons, he did his best so the Philly franchise won’t take him

In the latest episode of his The Edge podcast with Jordan Love, Parsons revealed some unknown details of his pre-draft process leading up to the 2021 rookie selection.

The Cowboys linebacker admitted that he skipped his pre-draft interview because he didn’t want to play at home. As shocking as that may sound, the 24-year-old noted that he just wanted to try playing outside the state, having suited up for Penn State in college as well.

“I didn’t want to stay home. Like true story, Dave called me like, yo you’re dealing with all this off the field stuff and you’re not even going to talk to Philly? I didn’t want to go home. So when Philly fans are talking to me like man bro I didn’t want to be home,” Parsons shared.

When asked by Love why he didn’t want to play at home, Parsons responded: “It’s a lot bro, when you’re at the crib everybody wants to come be in the mix, the influence, always wanting to go back home. At some point you just gotta be a man, I just wanted to get fresh, you gotta think I went to Penn State, it was time for me to get out of PA.”

As a result, Micah Parsons got what he wanted. The Philadelphia Eagles were picking 10th during the said draft and ended up selecting wide receiver DeVonta Smith.

Parsons, on the other hand, landed on the Dallas Cowboys two picks later at no. 12
