You Are The Worse Coach I Ever Met’ Star Player Disparaging The Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid….

Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has no issues admitting he’d leave the team if a head coaching position became available. Despite guiding the team to become four-time Super Bowl champs, most recently beating San Francisco 49ers, a top coaching job has been elusive.

With one ring from his time with the New York Giants and three from Kansas City, he’s surprisingly not had any interview offers for a head coach role during this offseason. Championship teams often see their coordinators snapped up for top jobs elsewhere, but this hasn’t proven to be true in Spagnuolo’s case.

Speaking on Mad Dog Sports Radio, he mentioned his desire to land a head coach role again and, although happy at the Chiefs, would let ‘things take care of themselves’. He also clarified: “I’ve been asked this question a lot, I’ll answer it the same way. Absolutely would want to. We’re prideful guys in this business.”

Reminiscing about his stint in St. Louis, that didn’t pan out well, he recalled: “It wasn’t a success when I was in St. Louis, although I think what gets lost in this is when we went from Year One to Year Two, in that second year in 2010, had we won the last game of the season we’re in the playoffs and hosting a playoff game against the New Orleans Saints.

“It didn’t happen, then we hit the lockout and things didn’t go well and we were gone. The answer to the question is yes, but I always follow up with this. If it never happens and it’s God’s will that I continue to do what I’m doing, I’m a blessed man.”

The Chiefs’ defensive coordinator was head coach for the St Louis Rams from 2009 to 2011. He didn’t have much success there, with only 11 wins and 41 losses before they let him go.

Spagnuolo has made history as the first NFL coordinator to win four Super Bowls. With Patrick Mahomes as quarterback, he might even get a fifth win next season. The Chiefs are one of the top teams and could be the first to win three times in a row.

At 64 years old, Spagnuolo runs the defense for the Chiefs. The head coach, Andy Reid, focuses on the offense and leaves the defense to him. People have said lots of good things about Coach ‘Spags’ and his defense, especially in the last two seasons. They’ve gotten a lot better since their Super Bowl victory in 2020.

Kansas City Chiefs fans were unhappy with a ridiculous suspension the league gave one of their key linebackers over a week after the Super Bowl. The NFL didn’t hand out a fine to any player on Saturday, which is when the league typically fines players for incidents occurring the week before.
