Eagles As Achieve Aother Four Strong Players In Mafia As” Eagles Head Coach Announced The New Singing Ahead….
Even though the Philadelphia Eagles’ playoff run ended at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a disastrous fashion, they can still rectify that mistake next year. For that to happen, though, they have to find a way to cut Kevin Byard and his $25 million contract in the offseason.
The Eagles started last season in a dominant manner when they had a 10-1 run in the NFL. Unfortunately, the team lost five out of the last six games, leading them to place second in the NFC East division. Adding more to their woe, Philadelphia was booted out of the playoffs by the Buccaneers with a score of 32-9.
That massive loss led to the firing of offensive coordinator Brian Johnson and defensive coordinator Sean Desai shortly after. But more than these two, the Eagles may have to let safety Kevin Bryad go to give the front office enough room to target other players in the offseason.
Looking ahead to the 2024 NFL Combine, the Philadelphia Eagles must focus on their desperate need for a play-making defensive back. Since 2002, the Eagles have not picked a defensive back in the first round of the NFL Draft. But that streak might end, considering the current state of their secondary.
James Bradberry was not the same player in 2023, and young players like Kelee Ringo and Eli Ricks struggled all season. The Eagles have acknowledged the need to improve their defensive backfield and all eyes will be on them in the free agency market and at the NFL Draft.
Given these obstacles, the NFL Combine offers a chance for the Eagles to scout potential difference-makers in the defensive backfield. Here are five standout cornerbacks that fans of the Philadelphia Eagles should watch out for, each bringing skills that could breathe new life into their secondary.
The Philadelphia Eagles are shaking things up with a brand new coaching team for the 2024 season, as confirmed by head coach Nick Sirianni.
The Eagles didn’t have the best end to their last campaign, losing in the playoffs after a 32-9 defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in January. At the start of the regular season, they looked like one of the top teams for the Super Bowl, winning nine out of their first 10 games.
But then their luck changed, and they only managed one win in seven games at the end of the regular season. They then lost against the Buccaneers, which capped a disappointing run for Sirianni.
Sirianni is ready for a change and has quickly made decisions about his coaching team. The big names joining the team include defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
There are more new faces too. Christian Parker is joining as passing game coordinator/defensive backs coach, and Clint Hurtt is coming on board as senior defensive assistant/defensive line coach. Roy Anderson will be the cornerbacks coach, Joe Kasper the safeties coach, and Bobby King the inside linebackers coach.
Some of last year’s coaching team are still around, with Jeremiah Washburn keeping his job as defensive ends/outside linebackers coach. Assistant head coach and running backs coach Jemal Singleton is also staying put, along with Kevin Patullo, Jeff Stoutland, Jason Michael, Aaron Moorehead, and Eric Dickerson.
