247Sport news: Tennessee Titans Select Two Outstanding Talents as Top Picks in 2024 NFL Draft

The Tennessee Titans have plenty of areas to address if they want to stand atop the AFC South in 2024. Both head coach Brian Callahan and GM Ran Carthon know that they have to make the right decision if they want to speed up their team’s rebuild.

With this year’s edition of the Scouting Combine now over, the team has a better clue about which players they should be looking to acquire in the draft. They have the seventh overall pick in this year’s draft, so they have a wealth of rookies they can choose from.

One analyst pushed for two outstanding prospects that the Titans should look to acquire if they’re going to kickstart a great playoff run come September.

Two standout Combine prospects the Tennessee Titans should target in April

Paul Kuharsky sounded off two great players who he thinks are perfect selections for the #7 spot who both happen to play for Oregon: WR Rome Odunze and OL Jackson Powers-Johnson.

Rome Odunze

Kuharsky couldn’t get enough of how charismatic Odunze was when talking to members of the media, which is a testament to his mentality that the Tennessee Titans would love:

An absolute delight. He will be an absolute media darling wherever he goes. That was apparent as he stepped onto his podium platform and was quick to greet social media guys from Washington.

His production during his final year with the Ducks is also as impressive as his podium interview: he caught 92 passes for an incredible 1640 yards and 13 TDs on 17.8 yards per carry. He would be a plug-and-play type of player should the Tennessee Titans pick him up with the seventh pick.

Jackson Powers-Johnson

Kuharsky was equally as enamored with Powers-Johnson and loved how he carried himself during his turn at the podium:

While the Oregon center stopped short of letting us hear how he can sing both alto and tenor in his gospel choir he talked about being part of it with the same passion he has for football. Also loved the way he spoke about being in command of an offense from the moment he takes the field.

The Tennessee Titans will love his huge frame that showcases a surprising initial agility that can clear the pocket against physical rushers.

Which player should the Tennessee Titans pick?

These two aren’t the only players the Titans have on their radar. Since six players would have been selected before they got on the clock, they could go to an entirely different direction if they found a more compelling prospect in the Combine.

However, these two players have shown that they can stand out at the college level and will make an immediate impact on the team should they get the nod in the NFL Draft.
