ESPN REPORT: The Georgia Bulldogs Trade 4 Mega-Star And Replace The Chicago Key Player.

Georgia football will be well-represented this spring as the UFL makes its debut.

You thought football season was over? In the words of the great Lee Corso, “Not so fast my friend.”

We’re just a couple of weeks away from the debut game of the United Football League, a new professional spring football league combining the XFL and USFL into one cohesive unit. The first game is scheduled for March 20th and there will be plenty of former Bulldogs on the field this spring.

The eight-team league will play a 10-week schedule, culminating with conference championships on June 8th and 9th and a championship game on June 16th. All games will be carried by either FOX or ESPN.

As the rosters currently stand, Georgia has seven former Bulldogs spread out over three teams. If Georgia fans are looking for a team to pull for, the DC Defenders might be it. DC features four former Georgia players, the most by any team.

Hayes, Baker, Gaillard, Bellamy, and Atkins were all a part of Georgia’s run to winning the Rose Bowl and appearing in the national championship during the 2017 season. Baker would go on to win the Jim Thorpe Award for the nation’s top defensive back in 2018.

Following the 2023 college football season, the Georgia Bulldogs’ roster had a handful of departures. In response to the long list of departures, the Bulldogs made a few moves of their own to ensure that they would have adequate talent on their roster to compete for a national title.

With the additions to this year’s team being more abundant than years prior, learning who all the Bulldog newcomers are may be a massive challenge. Here is a list of new Bulldogs who will likely have the biggest impact in their first year with the team.

Joining the Bulldogs via their arch rival the Florida Gators, Etienne’s transfer to the University of Georgia was one of the bigger splashes that Georgia made in the transfer portal this season. With the departure of starting running backs Kendall Milton and Daijun Edwards, Etienne will likely receive a heavy amount of touches during the 2024 season. ELLIS ROBINSON IV Arguably the most talented member of the Bulldogs’ 2024 recruiting class, Ellis Robinson IV has already been tabbed by many as the “next great corner” for the University of Georgia. His impact on this Bulldogs squad will likely be felt almost instantly. DANIEL CALHOUN Another member of the Bulldogs’ 2024 recruiting class, Calhoun’s presence was felt immediately when he arrived at the Bulldogs for bowl practices. The former 4-star recruit has an excellent chance to become a mainstay on the Bulldogs’ offensive line. LONDON HUMPHREYS Humphreys quickly put himself on Georgia fans’ radar last season when he caught a 49-yard touchdown pass during the Bulldogs’ game against Vanderbilt. The highly talented receiver will be an excellent addition to the Bulldogs, given that they will be without two of their best receivers from the 2024 season.

As one of the biggest surprises from the Dawgs’ 2024 recruiting cycle, KJ Bolden possesses a wide range of skills that could help him earn meaningful snaps as a true freshman.
