TRENDING REPORT: Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow 2023 Scary Injury Has ‘Forever’ Changed His Career…
The Cincinnati Bengals were helpless through the 2023 season the moment Joe Burrow was sidelined after only ten games with a torn wrist ligament. Their wasted season was made worse by the fact that the rest of their rivals in the AFC North managed to make the playoffs while they watched on from the sidelines.
Injuries have become a recurring theme in Burrow’s career so far, but the 27-year-old signal-caller has the talent to take his Bengals to the Super Bowl when it matters.
Joe Burrow provides Cincinnati Bengals fans with May timeline for full return
The Cincinnati Bengals QB gave an interview on ESPN on Sunday to give fans a clear update on when he will be able to participate in full-contact practice.“I think the middle of May is when I am expecting to kind of be cleared for full contact and everything. Over the next month to month and a half, we’ll kind of decide all those things.”
While the timeline he gave is still far away, it at least provides fans with a clear idea of when they can expect their QB1 to be back on the football pitch once again.
Joe Burrow’s strange 2023 season with the Cincinnati Bengals, revisited
Bengals fans would be the first to tell you that Burrow’s fourth NFL season has been anything but normal. He started the team’s training camp with a calf injury which affected his preparation for the season.
The injury’s impact on his season was evident as he failed to score touchdowns during three of the Bengals’ first four games of the season. His season opener against the Cleveland Browns was especially dreadful as he only completed 14 of his 31 pass attempts.
Fortunately for him, he was able to brute-force his way to a more stable form, with his peak in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills where he passed for 348 yards, two touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a 108.9 QB rating.
Bengals fans will be hoping that better things are in store for Burrow for 2024 so he can make another deep playoff run and stop the Kansas City Chiefs from clinching a third-straight Super Bowl title.
