Unbelievable: Lions Coach Dan Campbell Said Choosing Detroit Lions Was The Biggest Mistake He Has Ever Made…..
Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes does not typically attend many draft prospects pro days, but one Southeastern Conference school drew the attention of several NFL GM’s and head coaches. According to reports, five general managers attended the pro day at Alabama, including from the Lions, Steelers, Bills, Titans and Packers. Head coaches from the Raiders, Cowboys, Steelers and Titans were also spotted observing the workouts of several type draft prospects that played for the Crimson Tide. Cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry caught the attention of everyone in attendance, as he was able to clock a speedy 4.43 to 4.47 40-yard dash time that was hand-timed. “It was just very weird to me because I honestly didn’t feel any pain in my foot. There’s no telling how long it’s been there, how long I’ve been playing on it,” McKinstry said. “So, it was a stone there and it was just something I had to step over to continue with my life. God has a plan for me and I’m following that plan day in and day out.” With Cam Sutton’s spot on the Lions’ roster potentially in jeopardy, adding a player of McKinstry’s talent level could bode well for Detroit’s secondary. “I just feel like I can do it all,” said McKinstry. “Whether that’s playing outside corner, in the slot. I can move very well, I got the speed to guard whoever. Just my mentality, how consistent I am as an athlete, my consistency in my day-to-day life is just different.”
Lions defensive tackle Brodric Martin and his fiancée, Teekay Howard, welcomed baby girl Sykila Mae into the world on March 15.
The delivery came about two months after the couple had a romantic photoshoot that was captured by Detroit-area photographer RJ Creations.
“God blessed and entrusted us with one of his beautiful children,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post to announce the birth of their baby girl.
“We are extremely excited and honored to be able to call her our babygirl, our ‘good luck charm’, our miracle, our Sykila Mae.”
March 20 (UPI) — Detroit Lions cornerback Cameron Sutton is accused of felony domestic violence after a March 7 incident in Florida’s Hillsborough County and can’t be located, The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press reported Wednesday.
Sutton, 29, is accused of domestic battery by strangulation, which is a felony punishable by up to five years imprisonment in Florida. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office made Sutton’s arrest warrant public Wednesday in a post on X seeking information on his whereabouts.
The sheriff’s department said Sutton might be driving a Jeep Grand Wagoneer with a license plate number of FL-AZ33QB.
The initial post said he is wanted for aggravated battery-domestic violence, but the sheriff’s department later listed the charge as domestic battery by strangulation.
Phil Martello, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s department, said a 911 call made at 4:35 a.m. on March 7 reported domestic violence in progress that allegedly involved Sutton and a woman. He said the woman has wounds, and a warrant was issued for Sutton’s arrest on the same day, the Detroit Free Press reported.
Police said they think Sutton is in Florida and not in Michigan, but they could not locate him in the Tampa Bay area and say he likely fled. Hillsborough County encompasses the greater Tampa Bay area.
