J.J. McCarthy Says You Are The Worse Coach I Ever Met” Star Player Disparaging The Michigan Wolverines Head Coach Sherrone Moore.

Greg Scruggs has resigned from his position as Michigan’s defensive line coach, football head coach Sherrone Moore said in a statement Thursday.

Scruggs, 33, was arrested early Saturday morning in downtown Ann Arbor for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was indefinitely suspended by the university the same day.

Michigan football might break an NFL draft record for selections this April and NFL teams aren’t shy about scouting the Wolverines ahead of the 2024 annual selection meeting.

After setting numerous records at the NFL combine with 18 invitees, as well as the most offensive lineman from one school at the combine, Michigan football is turning heads again as the Wolverines are hosting their pro day on Friday.

Matt Miller, who works for ESPN and is a long-time NFL draft analyst, posted on X that more than 150 NFL personnel people were expected on campus in Ann Arbor. There are seven head coaches expected to be in attendance as well as nine general managers.

“That’s the biggest number I’ve ever heard for a pro day,” Miller wrote on X. With all of Michigan football’s talent, it’s not a surprise.

J.J. McCarthy is the headliner. A slew of NFL teams are considering him as a top-10 pick and to be the future face of their franchise. I can tell you that after watching McCarthy at Michigan, there isn’t a better person to have as the face of your franchise. He’s humble, talented, hard-working, and a great teammate. He’s also as good as any quarterback in the draft. There’s a reason Jim Harbaugh said he should go No. 1.

However, Mike Sainristil, Blake Corum, Kris Jenkins, the entire offensive line, Jaylen Harrell, Braiden McGregor, Junior Colson, Michael Barrett, Roman Wilson, Cornelius Johnson, and A.J. Barner are all dudes who could get drafted. They will at least get signed as rookie free agents and all have a chance to help themselves on Friday.

The biggest crowd will be for McCarthy. It will be interesting to see if he runs the 40-yard dash. He didn’t at the NFL combine and I know it would boost his stock even more. Yet, this day is more about Michigan football and its place as the best development program in college football.
