Sad News For Oklahoma Sooners Star Player Including Michael Hawkins Jr For A….

Not many around Elijah Thomas have accomplished what he’s set to accomplish. Each day, he gets closer to realizing a dream of playing college football, something he doesn’t take for granted.

“It feels really good, knowing that I’m going to be the first out of my school, my family, getting to do this,” Thomas said. “The journey has been amazing, just trying to be the best that I can be, my support circle has been awesome. They’ve always been there for me, through the ups and downs.

Thomas has put in plenty of effort to get to this point, emerging as one of the better receiver prospects in the region. This was reinforced when Thomas was named the Wide Receiver MVP at Under Armour-Dallas.

“I feel pretty great,” Thomas said. “They picked me as one of the best in the country, competed against some of the best in the country, but it’ll be good to take this into school ball and continue to do what I can do.”

“I just take everything my coaches tell me along with me,” Thomas added. “They come out, work with me even when they don’t have to, it’s helped me a lot.”

Thomas feels this is still part of a greater process. He continues to work on becoming the talent he feels he can be.

“I’m proud of my aggressiveness and my hand-eye coordination,” Thomas said. “I feel like I’m good at catching the ball… Off that, been working on routes. My steps, muscle memory, things like that.”

OU commit Jonathan Hatton Jr. talks recruiting for the Sooners & more

There is no shortage of neutral-site games this upcoming season with NFL stadiums, historic venues and even a European country hosting some of the signature college football matchups in 2024. For the third-consecutive year, Dublin, Ireland, kicks off the season as ACC opponents Florida State and Georgia Tech meet in a Week Zero.

There are several likely top-25 battles set to take place early in the season at neutral-site locations. A showdown between Kirby Smart and Dabo Swinney — two of only three active head coaches with a national championship — headlines Week 1 when Clemson faces Georgia in Atlanta. LSU and USC travel to Las Vegas for their first meeting in 45 (!!) years. A handful of annual rivalry matchups like the Apple Cup, Red River Rivalry and the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” also make up a stacked list of neutral-site games.

The Army-Navy rivalry returns to the nation’s capital for the first time since 2011. Commanders Field — located just outside of Washington D.C. in Landover, Md. — is set to host the annual meeting between the Black Nights and Midshipmen in December. After a dominant 14-year stretch from Navy, it is Army that holds the recent upper-hand, winning six of the last eight meetings. Each of the last three games between the two academies were decided by less than a touchdown.
