Breakings News: Four Cleveland Browns Stars Player Reveals For The 3years Contract Including Joe Flacco….

In an effort to bolster their receiving corps for the 2024 NFL season, the Cleveland Browns made an unexpected move during this offseason by trading for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Although this seems like a move in the right direction for the Browns, with Jeudy being a solid second option next to star wideout Amari Cooper, the cost of bringing him in and keeping him in Cleveland for the next three years is a little alarming.

There’s no question that Jeudy is a talented wide receiver and might be able to reach his true potential in Cleveland by catching passes from star quarterback Deshaun Watson, but the trade and extension that followed was anything but cheap.

According to Albert Breer of MMQB, the Browns inked Jeudy to a three-year contract extension worth $52.5 million, which is a high price to pay for a player that has yet to crack 1,000 yards receiving in a season.

At this price, the former first-round draft pick is getting paid like one of the best wide receivers in the game, which is a bold move for the Browns that could backfire.

Last year with the Broncos, Jeudy caught 54 passes for 758 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Although this is a risky move for Cleveland, the team’s brass may feel the Browns are in a championship window, with a lot of talent on both sides of the football and arguably one of the best defenses in the league led by reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett.

Looking at the value, terms and details of Jerry Jeudy extension with the Cleveland Browns.

The initial report on Jerry Jeudy’s new contract was full of questionable data. Firstly, any time we see ‘up to’ it means it isn’t an accurate reflection of the contract as the number will be pumped up using incentives that the player is probably not likely to earn most of. The second part here was that it was $41m which is completely inaccurate. You can’t use the guarantees from his previous fifth-year option to boost the numbers on the extension. This is why we have to ignore many of these first reports and wait until we see the facts.

It takes a few days once an extension is signed for the information to get to sites like “Over The Cap” for me to report on it. I never take too much notice of the initial reports including ‘up to’ as these come from the agent’s side, and they regularly inflate the numbers using unlikely-to-be-earned incentives and others as they want to use them to attract future clients. It gives you a good steer for what the deal is likely to be, but you won’t see me write on the numbers until we get everything official. Sometimes this can take a few days, you won’t see me write on deals until I have the official breakdown.
