It was a disappointing end to the 2023 season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, as they missed the playoffs after starting 8-3 by losing five of their last six games, ultimately surrendering the AFC South crown to the Houston Texans.

They headed into this offseason with plenty of cap space to help fix some of the issues that led to that demise, and a new report detailed how they are keeping some of their own guys in town.

These three are mostly depth pieces to fill out the roster.

Tim Jones is a young receiver who could step into a larger role after the team lost Calvin Ridley to free agency, though it did replace him with the Gabe Davis signing.

Jones posted 11 catches for 83 yards in his second season out of Southern Miss.

Junior is a depth piece at corner who posted 11 tackles and a pass deflection last season, and Van Lanen is a 25-year-old tackle who was a sixth-round pick in 2021.

Jones is the one signing here who could potentially make a real impact in 2024 despite newly-signed WR Devin Duvernay coming in to compete for snaps out of the slot behind Davis and Christian Kirk.

His best path to playing time is as a 4th or 5th receiver who could step in during passing downs or as an injury replacement.
