Dusty May has landed another commitment from Yale transfer Danny Wolf, the No. 19 overall prospect and No. 4 ranked power forward in the 247Sports Transfer Rankings.

The 7-foot forward, originally out of Glencoe, Illinois, committed to Coach May and the Wolverines over the likes of Cal, Duke, Georgetown, Stanford, and North Carolina among others. Wolf entered the NCAA Transfer Portal following his sophomore season at Yale with a “do not contact” tag on his profile, indicating he had a school or handful of schools already in mind. It didn’t take long for Wolf to show his interest in Michigan, and it reportedly wasn’t his first time nearly becoming a Wolverine. Wolf had considered walking on at Michigan following his high school days under former coach, Juwan Howard, but earned some offers from Minnesota, DePaul, Penn State, Toledo, Harvard, Penn, and Yale before ultimately deciding to become a Bulldog.

In Wolf’s sophomore campaign at Yale he averaged 14.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while adding in 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals on just over 30 minutes a night.

Wolf is an intriguing prospect at both the “4” and “5,” excelling with the ball in his hands while creating opportunities for himself and others.

Wolf provides a matchup problem for opposing defenses at, at 7-foot-0, he has ample size and physicality to bully forwards, and elite footwork, speed, handle, and athleticism to blow by big men guarding him on the perimeter.

He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Wolf’s commitment comes after an April 2 in-home visit conducted by May, less than week following his entrance to the portal, and an official visit to Michigan April 12-14.

His pledge marks an early recruiting win for May, and The Michigan Insider fully expects there will be others as numerous scholarships are available for both high school and Transfer Portal targets.

The commitments continue to rain in for North Carolina as Peach State linebacker Anthony Kruah announced for the Tar Heels on Sunday evening.

Before Sunday’s announcement, Kruah, a 6-foot-2, 210-pounder from Marietta (Ga.) High, had intended to take summer official visits to Auburn, Baylor, Boston College, and UNC before rendering a decision.

On Friday, four-star edge rusher Austin Alexander kicked off the sudden explosion of commitments for UNC. That was followed by defensive tackle Devin Ancrum on Saturday afternoon and Ole Miss transfer defensive tackle Joshua Harris on Sunday morning.
