Jordan was at his best when he was doubted as a player, and Milroe wants to continue to prove himself right at Alabama.

He is focused on delivering the Tide to a College Football National Championship in the fall.

Alabama has maintained its position as the top team in college football since 2009, a feat attributed mainly to the leadership of their former head coach, the legendary Nick Saban. Having retired earlier this year, the team’s reins have been handed over to the new head coach, Kalen DeBoer.

DeBoer has done a fantastic job keeping players on the Alabama roster under Saban, like quarterback Jalen Milroe, and the Crimson Tide are getting ready for 2024. Dear is currently committed to the Ole Miss Rebels and is a 2025 four-star running back prospect. Alabama appears to still have its sights on the Mississippi product despite his commitment to the Rebels.

The Ole Miss commit has had good things to say about Gillespie in the past when discussing where Alabama stood in his recruitment.

“They still at the top of my board because coach (Robert) Gillespie still there,” Dear told Touchdown Alabama. “I like coach DeBoer. I got to get there to meet the coaching staff.”
