The Milwaukee Brewers will return home to begin a four-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday night. The first pitch on Thursday will be at 6:40 p.m. CT. The pitching matchup in this one will be Sonny Gray (4-1 record, 0.89 ERA) for the Cardinals and Tobias Myers (0-2 record, 6.23 ERA) for the Brewers.

In the National League Central Standings, the Brewers have a 21-15 record and are tied for first place with the Chicago Cubs. As for the Cardinals, they are currently in last place with a 15-21 record. This is the series where St. Louis is looking to get back into it and Milwaukee is just looking to bury them.

No matter what the records are, these two baseball clubs do not like each other. The Milwaukee Brewers recently lost two-out-of-three on the road against the Kansas City Royals. The St. Louis Cardinals were rained out on Wednesday against the New York Mets and New York beat St. Louis in two games prior to that event.

Shortstop Willy Adames is projected to bat fourth for the Brewers on Thursday against the Cardinals. He has a .257 batting average with seven home runs and 25 RBIs, along with six stolen bases and one caught stealing attempt. Adames also has a .344 on-base percentage in 36 games played so far this season for manager Pat Murphy.

Catcher William Contreras is projected to bat second for Milwaukee in this contest. He has also played in 36 games and has a .329 batting average with five home runs and 29 RBIs, along with three stolen bases. Contreras’s on-base percentage is .406.

Starting pitcher Tobias Myers has only pitched in three games so far this season for the Milwaukee Brewers. He has pitched in 13 innings and has given up 12 hits and nine runs. Myers has walked five batters and has struck out 11.

In 35 games this season for the ball club, he has a .223 batting average with four home runs and 19 RBIs, along with zero stolen bases and two caught stealing attempts. Donovan has a .297 on-base percentage.

He has a .287 batting average with two home runs and 20 RBIs, along with zero stolen bases and one caught stealing attempt. In 36 games played this season, Arenado has an on-base percentage of .351.
