This Is The Worst Day Of My Life” Michigan football WR Announce His Departure After Accusing Head Coach Sherrone Moore Of….

Michigan football is looking for reinforcements in the secondary and there is one transfer portal target on campus Thursday plus another could visit in the future.

Now that spring ball has concluded, Michigan football is looking to add some depth at key spots and the secondary is one of the focus areas for the Wolverines.

Michigan football has a talented roster. It’s one of the best in college football. At least that’s what many experts believe as five different spring polls have the Wolverines ranked in the top 12.

Yet, if Michigan is going to win another Big Ten championship and have a chance to make the playoff to defend their national title, they’ll need as much depth as they can find. Sometimes, depth can come from the development of players on the roster.

That’s one option in the secondary but some proven pieces in the transfer portal could provide much-needed depth and experience for next season. One of those is Wesley Walker, the former Georiga Tech and Tennessee safety who is visiting Michigan football Thursday.

He’s got 184 career tackles, 11 tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception, 12 pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in his career. Walker is a safety and he could add depth at a position in need of some after the departure of Keon Sabb and the injury to Rod Moore.

Adding Walker could also allow Zeke Berry to play the nickel, which could free up Ja’Den McBurrows to start at corner or at least compete with Jyaire Hill to start opposite Will Johnson.

Walker is visiting Thursday according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider, who also reported that Michigan football is still working to get Terrance Brooks, formerly of Texas on campus. Brooks has started 19 games the past two seasons for the Longhorns and was honorable mention All-Big 12.

The spring preseason rankings for Michigan football are just about right
Brooks feels like a plug-and-play starter to me. Jaden Mangham is still out there at safety, but in terms of corners, Brooks is the only option at this point. Keep an eye out for him to visit and if that happens, Michigan football could have a real chance of adding not one, but two contributors to the secondary and who knows, it might even be three.
