ESPN REPORT: Cardinals’ Star Andre Pallante Announce His Departure’ After He Accused Of….

Oliver Marmol and the St. Louis Cardinals may have just found their new ace. After Steven Matz suffered a back injury earlier in the month, this pitching core wasn’t quite doing the job. They sank below .500 and the Milwaukee Brewers took advantage to rise in the NL Central. Now, it looks like the Cardinals are back after winning eight out of their last 10 games. What happened? Andre Pallante was blazing hot when he got to pitch against the Cincinnati Reds.

The Cardinals triumphed over the Reds with a five-to-three scoreline. One would think that Steven Matz was back pitching for them but that was not the case. Andre Pallante was the one who lit up guys like Jake Fraley and Jeimer Candelario. He ended the game by pitching in six innings which netted him three hits, three walks, and four strikeouts. Every single one of his 86 pitches looked like he was going to shut out any batter that was in front of him.

A casual fan of the Cardinals might think that he was always their ace. But, they’d be wrong. In fact, this clash against the Red was his first start since July 31, 2022. Andre Pallante could not have expected a better outcome after he got called back up by Oliver Marmol to help the Steve Matz-less squad, via Bally Sports Midwest.

“It’s definitely what I was hoping for. When I got sent down at the beginning of this year, part of the conversation that Oli and I had was about, you know, we’re going to option you, what do you want to do when you’re down there? Do you want to keep strengthening out? Is that going to help you improve? Or do you want to do more shorter stints and get that going? I told him, honestly, I’ve always (thought) of myself as a starter. The more pitches I throw, the better I get,” he declared.

Oliver Marmol left in amazement
Pallante is now making a strong case to stay within the Cardinals’ starting rotation. He took some time to develop in the Triple-A and is now looking stronger than ever. The pitcher even unveiled how he was able to grow and develop his arm better.

“I felt like while I was down there, I was able to really improve that second fastball that I was throwing, and I felt like I got a lot of really good results on it today going up and into righties. Today was a pretty good day, I felt like I was me on the mound,” he concluded.

Much to the surprise of fans who are hoping the Cardinals beat out the Brewers in the NL Central standings, Oliver Marmol was also caught off-guard with Pallante’s outing.

“Man, Pallante did a really nice job. To go down and become a starter and start working on some of the things that he wanted to work on… and then come up here and have an outing like that was impressive. He did everything we needed him to do… Dominated that outing,” he declared.

There are a lot of games left in the season. If Pallante continues this hot streak due to Steven Matz’s absence, he might just be the diamond in the rough that the Cardinals were looking for.
